"Furry Vengeance! We have just finished reading about burrowing owls and the students are really excited about finding ways that they can learn to help protect our wildlife and their environment.

The fifth grade students in my low-income classroom are excited to be learning about our environment. Each student has a desire to help out Plant Earth. They know that recycling is a step that they can take, and after reading about endangered species they are excited about finding ways they can help the creatures on this planet."

My Project

"The iPod (and warranty package) that we are requesting will allow the students to begin recording Podcasts about the environment and then introducing them to the rest of the class. As in the upcoming movie Furry Vengeance, it is important that all of the children understand that there are other ways they can get involved with helping this planet survive. They can do something to help the animals on this planet. By using the iPod to help in this research, each student can share with their fellow students the information that they find on the Internet and Podcasts.

We want to continue our class research on the environment. Your donation can, and will make a difference. At the beginning our our journey, there were students who didn't even understand the basics of recycling their papers during the day. Now they understand that portion. We moved forward into the burrowing owls and how they are endangered, and they now understand their importance. As we continue to move forward learning about this great planet, each child knows they can make a contribution.
